Welcome back to Lansdale Pizza Guys next entry to all pizza in Lansdale! It was a rainy night in Landale this Friday. But a great night to get together with friends and try another pizzeria. On this cold and rainy night we are trying Main Street Pizzeria and Grill. This local favorite is located on Main Street in the heart of Lansdale. Putting our order online was simple but picking up wasn't as easy. Parking can get pretty difficult on Main Street so I need to park around the corner past Round House and down behind Main Street Pizzeria. Once I walked around, I made my way inside and was instantly greeted by a friendly host. She got my name and got me my order in seconds and I was out the door...back into the rain. I got the food home for friends and family and we dived in.
Neapolitan Pizza - 16"
First up was the Neapolitan pizza ($16.95) for the kids since they won't venture out to try anything else yet. Both kids devoured their slice but of course wanted to get away from the table as fast as possible so they could play. Just more for the grown ups. Every one enjoy this slice and the biggest compliment I can give it was that there wasn't a lot of grease on top. A lot of other place I need 4 or 5 paper towels just to soak up all the grease. Have to try stay somewhat healthy eating all this pizza. The crust was also very good with a great amount of cheese on it. I love a lot of cheese on my pizza!
Meat Lover's Pizza - 16"
Next up is the Meat Lovers pizza ($24.45). 16" is a lot of pizza, and even more so with all the toppings. Pepperoni good. Sausage good. Bacon good. Ham good. Meatballs good. This is the definition of meat lovers. My stomach was a lot bigger than my eyes for sure. But it was all well worth it. Everyone tried a slice and agreed it was delicious. The perfect amount of meat for each slice was spread out was the consensuses.
Buffalo Chicken Pizza - 10"
The Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Wow is all I can say. This 10" size is the perfect personal pizza size for one person. This way definitely my favorite for the night that I kept going back to. There is no tomato sauce on this pie. Just cheese with chicken and buffalo sauce. The chicken was not strips but more finely diced pieces which worked really well for this. The cheese was the perfect amount for a good base since there is no sauce. The buffalo sauce was a great heat that I believe anyone could enjoy. I am not a huge fan of insanely hot sauces. I like to be able to enjoy them, not need 5 glasses of milk. Overall this was a wonderful pizza and will be ordering it again.
Main Street Pizzeria and Grill was a hit with everyone, including the kids. Despite the challenge of finding parking on Main Street in Lansdale, the experience was superb. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, and the friendly and cheerful host made us feel welcome. Most importantly, the food was fantastic, and we would highly recommend Main Street to others looking for a great pizzeria in Lansdale.
